During this one-day course, the participant will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to successfully create basic and intermediate bends using a 3/4″ hand bender. This is a comprehensive training course being offered to provide the learners the opportunity to practice, make mistakes, and corrections in a safe working environment. We strive to pass on information and years of experience to increase efficiency and reduce waste. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of this course. Course completion is strongly recommended for all members working on institutional sites such as Hospitals.
During this packed one day course the learner will gain the theoretical knowledge, and practical experience required to successfully create basic and intermediate bends. Objective 1 – applicable code rules that govern how we build conduit raceways, and different attachment options for the installation of EMT.
Objective 2 – Introduction to the hand bender
Objective 3 – 90 ° bends
Objective 4 – Back to back 90° bends
Objective 5 – 22°, 30°, and 45° Offsets
Objective 6 – 3 & 4 point saddles
Objective 7 – box offsets, kicks
