  • The Level 2 Leadership training will combine the necessary soft skills required by IBEW chargehands as well as look at some of the more important technical processes and necessary administration skills that all IBEW chargehands to need to know to ensure a safe and productive worksite.
  • Some of the key training topics will involve: Professionalism and the role of the Chargehand; IBEW Chain of Command; Progressive discipline: A valuable tool for ongoing success and safety in the workplace; Working with your Shop Steward to create a safe and productive workplace; Communicating for success, not for failure. The Level Two training will also pull in some of the great training tools and topics from the Level One training to further build on the leadership learning opportunities.

PREREQUISITE: Front Line Leadership Level 1

Online Frontline Foremen Level 2 Leadership Training

Building on the success of the Online Frontline Foremen Level 1 Leadership Training and recognizing that ongoing training plays a key role in ensuring IBEW members continue to be sought out by employers for their highly developed skills and excellent onsite work practices, IBEW offers an Online level 2 Frontline Foremen Leadership Training course. The Online Level 2 Foremen training will combine the necessary soft skills required by IBEW foremen as well as look at some of the more important technical processes and necessary administration skills that all IBEW foremen to need to know to ensure a safe and productive worksite.

 

Course Outline (4 Hour Online Course) – Five Specific Training Modules:

 

  1. Professionalism: As an IBEW member what does that mean to you?
  2. IBEW Chain of Command.
  3. The 3 Key Policies that every Foremen needs to know to be successful on the job.
  4. Progressive discipline: A valuable tool for ongoing success and safety in the workplace.
  5. Working with your Shop Steward to create a safe and productive workplace.

 

Who should attend:

 

  • IBEW Foremen who have completed the two-day Frontline Foremen Level One Leadership Course.
  • IBEW Local Foremen who have been leading work crews for a minimum of six months.
  • IBEW Local 993 Foremen who are interested in further developing effective leadership skills.
  • IBEW Local 993 Foremen who are committed to understanding what is required to maintain ongoing excellence, integrity, safety and professionalism in the workplace.

This course will be presented using the GoToTraining software. You will need a computer with a high speed internet connection and the ability to install the free GoToTraining software.
