The Women’s Interconnection and Retention in Electrical Disciplines (WIRED) Project invites you to charge-up your leadership skills.
Participate in this two-day, face-to-face leadership development course for gender-minority apprentices and ALLIES:
Saturday, March 23 (8am-4pm) & Sunday, March 24 (8am-2pm)
Take advantage of Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy – Women in Skilled Trades funding to fill your ‘toolbox’ with leadership skills to enable you to work within and develop your skills in high-performance, diverse, equitable and inclusive teams. This Gold Seal accredited course will equip you to deal with conflict, hold your crew members accountable, earn respect, build trust, team build, coach, communicate effectively and manage performance issues.
Develop  leadership “soft skills” to take charge of your career, as this is where the majority of issues from which safety concerns, conflict, ongoing grievances, poor productivity, cost overruns, time issues and stress can originate. The two days are highly interactive with plenty of opportunities for IBEW apprentices to use “real work situations” that they are currently experiencing to help reinforce key learnings. The apprentice class is offered through Women in Skilled Trades federal funding. As such, registration is limited to female-identifying and DEI allies at this time. Please share this opportunity with all your female IBEW 230 colleagues and allies!
