Mobile Elevated Work Platforms / Aerial Work Platforms
Rules: Federal/provincial as well as industry standards
Technical Theory: identity and function of the main parts, leverage capacity and stability
Review fall protection requirements as it pertains to aerial lifts
Operational theory: inspections, travel and setup, safe operation
Parking and shutdown, fueling and charging
A written theory test to evaluate operators understanding of the information reviewed
Practical training in the topics covered
Practical skills test to evaluate the operators ability to demonstrate proper operation
All successful graduates of this course will receive a wallet size certification card, which is valid for 3 years.

All successful graduates of this course will receive a wallet size certification card, which is valid for 3 years.
This course, which is roughly 6 hours for Fall Protection and 5 hours for Aerial Work Platform, delivered online over two days on Zoom. This certification is geared toward new apprentices but is also open to members looking to renew their existing or expired certificates.
One week prior you will receive both calendar invitations containing the course links and course booklets.
Fall Protection: Tuesday, December 1st, 2020
Aerial Work Platform (scissor and boom lifts): Friday, December 4th, 2020
Proof of prior certification will be needed to waive the requirement for in-person demonstration of competency on the lift.
