IBEW Local 993 Hall (Kamloops)
The two-day Level “A” BCACS training program consists of a theory and practical mix.
There are three (3) basic sections:
- Hand Signals
- Load Chart and Rigging examination
- Operation of the crane with and without a load
- Operate crane through nine (9) targets with no load (must achieve 7 of 9)
- Operate crane through nine (9) targets with a load (must achieve 7 of 9)
- Shut-down procedures.
The diagram below is the practical layout:
This practical is timed – 15 minutes to land on nine (9) targets empty and 15 minutes to land on nine (9) targets with a load. The operator must use at least 70% of boom length.
The time frame and layout of the course Chris will depend on the competencies of the participants.
Required Items:
- Hard Hat
- Safety Boots
- Long Sleeve Shirt
- Safety (HiViz) Vest
- Pen and Paper
- Member must adhere to social distancing and other Safety Protocols as provided Local 993, WCB and instructor.
Location: IBEW Local 993 Hall
The IBEW Local 993 Hall has a large fenced yard around the back of the building.
