IBEW 230 Training Center (Victoria)

Members will explore what stress is, how it affects the mind and body, and the connection between stress and performance. Topics include identifying stressors, understanding the stress response and fight-or-flight mechanisms, recognizing the window of tolerance, and the impact of stress on health. The session also highlights the unique challenges of stress in the construction sector and provides strategies to recognize and address stress before it becomes a problem. Learn actionable stress management techniques to enhance well-being and performance on and off the job.

Ricardo Simczak


Ricardo is a clinician with the Green Health program. With over 15 years of experience in counselling, Ricardo has supported clients through various challenges, from employment issues to addiction recovery and mental health crises. He is currently deepening his expertise with specialized training in Existential Therapy. Ricardo’s approach is non-judgmental and person-centred. He focuses on helping clients navigate grief, addictions, loss, life changes, anxiety, and depression. Ricardo truly believes in the power of being present with his clients and empowering them to overcome life’s hurdles and live their lives to the fullest.
