Telehandler Training (Kamloops)

IBEW Local 993 Hall (Kamloops)
Theory and practical experience are included in this 1/2 day course dedicated to the variable reach forklift or telehandler. The course outline includes the following components as detailed in the Ives course manual provided:
-regulations
-main parts and their function
-factors affecting stability and capacity
-use of load charts
-safe operation of equipment
-parking and shut down
-pre-use inspections
The student will participate in review questions and be required to complete a multiple choice exam as part of the theory portion. Finally, practical training and assessment while on the equipment is included and makes up about 50% of the course.
Required Items:
- Hard Hat
- Safety Boots
- Long Sleeve Shirt
- Safety (HiViz) Vest
- Pen and Paper
- Member must adhere to social distancing and other Safety Protocols as provided Local 993, WCB and instructor.
Location: IBEW Local 993 Hall
The IBEW Local 993 Hall has a large fenced yard around the back of the building.
