IBEW Local 993 Hall (Kamloops)
During this one-day course, the participant will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to successfully create basic and intermediate bends using a 3/4″ hand bender. This is a comprehensive training course being offered to provide the learners the opportunity to practice, make mistakes, and corrections in a safe working environment. We strive to pass on information and years of experience to increase efficiency and reduce waste. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of this course. Course completion is strongly recommended for all members working on institutional sites such as Hospitals.
As per our Business Manager, Glen Hilton, apprentices living in the area who are not in school or that are on the out of work list are expected to sign up and attend these courses.
Proper safety gear must be worm to take the course which includes safety glasses and steel toed boots. Members should also bring a hacksaw, tape measure, a pencil plus paper to take notes.
